Located three miles south of La Crosse on the Mississippi River with over 300 campsites Goose Island – the largest county campground in Wisconsin – offers many amenities for campers and day use visitors including electrical and water hook-up sites, a campground store with bait and refreshments for sale, kayak and canoe rentals, two nature trails, a public swimming beach, and three public boat launches. Goose Island offers excellent fishing, wildlife viewing opportunities, and beautiful sunsets.
Our camping season begins in mid-April and runs through October. Reservations for campsites and park shelters are accepted beginning in the first week of January of each year.
