While food definitely takes center-stage, the atmosphere at Bric a Brac in Destin is reason enough to add this stop to your itinerary. The funky interior decor of Bric a Brac includes brightly painted murals, antique-style prints, vinyl records, and Mardi Gras beads hanging from the walls. In short, get ready for a joyful, party atmosphere!
We believe one sign sums it up perfectly, “Come as you are, stay as long as you can, we’re all family here.” In fact, this feels like the default motto of Bric a Brac!
From the inviting, inclusive atmosphere to the presence of happy kids hanging alongside adults out for a fun evening out, the restaurant has a totally unique vibe that’s celebratory while still making space for families and people of all ages.
But cool vibes alone don’t make a good restaurant! Fortunately, Bric a Brac also serves up some solid menu items to round out the experience. On a recent trip to dine out at this relatively new Destin destination, we planned our visit around the live music schedule and enjoyed the stylings of the Teal Magnolias while we sampled the seafood forward menu.

Crab Cake
Bric a Brac is right to boast about their generous crab cakes, which come light on the filler, and heavy on sweet, tender crab. The perfect pairing for a drink if you’re stopping in for a light snack, or a great way to start off a full meal.
Smoked Tuna Dip
Competition for the tastiest smoked tuna dip runs fierce in the Gulf Coast, and Bric a Brac’s rendition holds its own. Smoky and robusy flavor makes this another awesome option for snacking and sipping, or a good starter for a leisurely dinner out among friends and family.
Stuffed Bell Peppers
Generously stuffed with rice, ground beef, vegetables, then topped with cheese and homemade marinara, these peppers were perfectly tasty on their own, and made even better by a side of mashed red potatoes with the skin on. Hearty and delicious, and a great non-seafood option!
Ponchartrain
A seafood feast featuring mahi mahi topped with an entire soft shell crab, and served with sides of vegetables and skin on mashed red potatoes. Tasty, and reasonably priced for the portion size, despite being an entree that would be appropriate on a fine dining menu.
With great menu offerings and free live music, Bric a Brac already has a few things figured out to keep this restuarant hopping all year long, but to top things off, they also feature an excellent happy hour to add even more value to the experience. Come early to enjoy a drink or two, then fill your belly to the sweet sounds and sights of one of the coolest spots to unwind in Destin. Bon appetite!
