PHOENIX — Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria will open its seventh Valley location in Chandler in April.

The new location at 2815 S. Alma School Road in the Las Tiendas Village will open April 25, according to a press release. The 1,900-square-foot space will only offer carryout and delivery.

The Illinois-based pizzeria opened its first restaurant in Phoenix in 2016, later adding locations in the Phoenix neighborhood of Arcadia, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa and Gilbert.

“Since our first location opened in Arizona, we’ve been welcomed with open arms and are so grateful to our loyal fan base,” Marc Malnati, CEO, said in the release. “Our team is excited to expand in the Valley and make a home in the city of Chandler.

“We’re thrilled to bring our authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza to the Chandler neighborhood and become immersed in the vibrant, diverse and thriving community.”

In addition to its signature deep dish pizza, the pizzeria also offers various appetizers, salads, pastas and desserts.

Approximately 50 people will be hired to fill various positions at the new location, the company said, including delivery drivers, kitchen crew and phone staff. Those interested can apply online or by texting “Lous” to 242424. Interviews are currently being held via phone or Zoom and a hiring event would be held in the coming weeks.

The Valley locations are part of the more than 70 operated by the family-owned company, the others being in the Chicagoland area, Indianapolis and Milwaukee.
