Transportation Security Administration 

The main TSA security screening checkpoint is located on level two of the terminal at Salt Lake City International Airport. The checkpoint is open from 3:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.

A second TSA security screening checkpoint is located on the ground level of the International Arrivals area and is open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is used for passengers who arrived on an international flight and have a connecting flight at SLC, as well as passengers departing from SLC.

TSA PreCheck™

TSA PreCheck™ is an expedited screening program for eligible, low-risk passengers. Regular hours of operation are 4:20 a.m. to 8 p.m. and are subject to change.

REAL ID-Compliant Identification

The deadline of for Utah residents needing a REAL ID-compliant form of identification to board a commercial flight has been moved to May 7, 2025.

To determine if a Utah driver license is REAL ID-compliant, look for a small star inside a gold circle and the outline of the state of Utah with the words, “UT USA” in the upper right-hand corner. The presence of the icon and words will indicate that the driver license is REAL ID –compliant.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection 

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) offices are on the ground level of the terminal near International Arrivals.

Operating hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with the exception of holidays, though these hours may vary due to commercial flights.

For cargo and entry inquiries, please contact CBP through email at SLC.cargo@cbp.dhs.gov.

For all other services, to include, I-94 updates/corrections, Immigration issues, vehicle imports, CBP Seal letters, and gun registration, please visit the CBP office during scheduled office hours.

Global Entry

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. For details on Global Entry, visit: www.globalentry.gov.

Salt Lake City’s Global Entry Enrollment Center is open 2:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, except for holidays. Interviews must be scheduled in advance. The center is located on the ground level of the terminal at the west end, near the international arrivals.
