The Kewaunee County Fair is an annual event that takes place in Luxemburg, Wisconsin in July. The fair has been a long-standing tradition in the county for over 100 years and is a highly anticipated event for locals and visitors alike. Winter Park is Kewaunee County’s most popular park for winter recreation attracting those who like to go skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. The snow tubing hill features five lanes approximately 450 feet long with a vertical drop of 70 feet. Riders are taken to the top of the hill by a Magic Carpet, a standing conveyor belt system.
The ski area has five runs some over a quarter mile in length with a 160-foot vertical drop rated from easy to difficult. A t-bar lift brings skiers and snowboarders to the top. There is also a beginner’s hill for those just learning the sport.
Winter Park also offers ski and snowboard equipment rentals and has a warming chalet that offers concessions, Winter Park is located at N3787 Ransom Moore Lane, west of Kewaunee across from Bruemmer Park Zoo and adjacent to the historic Dana Farm. Winter Park also doubles as a 27-hole disc golf course during spring, summer and fall. It’s rated eighth in the state by Disc Golf Course Reviews. The scenic course covers the entire park. You’ll find a donation tube located at the park for upkeep.
