Security FAQs

What items are allowed at the TSA checkpoint?

TSA has a comprehensive list of items permitted in checked luggage and carry-on bags: TSA: What Can I Bring?

Can I travel without a photo ID?

In the event you arrive at the airport without proper ID because it is lost or at home, you may still be allowed to fly. By providing additional information, TSA has other ways to confirm your identity, including using publicly available databases, so you can reach your flight.

If your identity cannot be verified, you will not be allowed to enter the screening checkpoint.

Are non-ticketed passengers allowed to go to the gates?

Normally only ticketed passengers are permitted beyond the security checkpoints, but exceptions may be made to assist unaccompanied minors or passengers with special needs. Contact your airline to make arrangements and obtain the necessary documentation.

What if I see something I want to report while at the airport?

If you see something, say something. Please report any suspicious activity or unattended baggage by calling 702.261.5125.

Please visit the TSA FAQ website for additional frequently asked questions.
