Step on board the Navy Launch and head to the Arizona Memorial, built on the remains of the USS Arizona. Pay your respects to 1,177 sailors and marines who lost their lives that day before heading on for an audio tour of the USS Bowfin - also known as the 'Pearl Harbor Avenger'.

At the Pacific Aviation Museum, you'll get the facts on history's aviation heroes, see American and Japanese airplanes, and step up to the Control Tower!

Walk the decks of the famed battleship, the USS Missouri. Stand on the exact spot of the Japanese surrender in 1945 and think about how far America has come since that horrific day.

  • Pearl Harbor No Bag Policy - all purses, handbags, backpacks, fanny packs, camera bags, diaper bags, luggage and/or any type of bag that can conceal an object are not permitted inside Pearl Harbor, the Visitor's Center, in the bus to Ford Island or to any of attractions. Strollers are not permitted in the theater or shuttle boats. Bags will be required to be stored for a fee at the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center and cannot be left in the vehicle.

It was a brilliant experience marred only because of the wind. Nothing that the organisers could do about the weather, other than to protect the people from possible danger. The wind prevented the sailing of the boats around the Arizona Memorial but otherwise everything else went according to plan. A disappointment nevertheless but could not be forseen in any way. My thanks to the organisers for their work throughout the day.
